Accompanying the original installation, a Sony TCM-919 cassette recorder plays a curated mixtape of songs which, to the artist, demonstrated an outsider's perception and expectation of the civilian, working life of the American -- tracks which exist as a byproduct of (and co-operatively witnesses to) America as an objective system of thought and lifestyle. As a substitute for this player, the viewer is invited to experience the mixtape on Apple Music or Spotify streaming services whilst they view the photographs above.
